michener MUSEUM

Exhibition Design, Environmental Design, Wayfinding, Package Design

During my 6 months working for the James A. Michener Art Museum I had the privledge of working on many meaningful projects.

Most notably, I was tasked with designing the exhibition for their ongoing reinterpretation project “Behind These Walls.” The Michener is the former Bucks County Jail and the original outer walls still surround the land today. This project evaluates how the institution can interpret its past and look towards the future.

I also had the pleasure of completely redesigning the Family education center to feel more welcoming to visitors and their families and draw inspiration from the George Anthonisen piece displayed at the center of the space.

Charlotte Schatz - Industrial Strength; Opened November 16th, 2024, I had the opportunity to design the brand for this show. This started with a large scale wall graphic using a photo of Schatz, which I adapted into the style of the show. I also had a role in designing the layout of the show as well as a bench in which visitors could sit amoung works of art and process materials.
